About

Alysis Davis is a performer, dance educator, and emerging choreographer based in Toronto, ON. Introduced to dance at the age of 3 at Canada’s National Ballet School, she moved on to Toronto’s competitive dance scene and later became a member of DancEast’s Youth Performance Company in Moncton, New Brunswick. Alysis holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan (formerly Ryerson) University, complemented by minors in Entrepreneurship and Psychology. Her professional training spans Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Ballet, including certification as an ADAPT Jazz and Tap instructor. 

 

Beyond TMU, she has had the pleasure of training with and performing in works across Ontario by notable artists such as Natasha Powell, Angela Blumberg, Vicki St. Denys, Raoul Wilke, Alysa Pires, Louis Laberge-Côté, Roberto Campanella, Rock Bottom Movement, and Seanna Bailey. Her performances include features in Fall For Dance North, the Orillia Jazz Festival, and, most recently, Art & Soul presented by BMO. 

 

Alysis is a versatile choreographer and educator, sought after for her work with competitive teams and performance companies across the GTA. She also serves as the co-director of The Groove Crew, a junior hip hop performance company based out of City Dance Corps, where she mentors and shapes the next generation of dynamic performers. Her dedication to both performance and choreography earned her the New Brunswick Arts Board Full-Time Arts Scholarship, recognizing her work across stage and film. Continuously expanding her training and knowledge, Alysis brings passion and expertise to every role she takes on. She is committed to developing confident, resilient, and creative dancers, equipping them with the skills to thrive both on and off the stage.
